Our Story

Rene & Clay is a Black, queer & women-owned jewelry and accessory business based in Upper Marlboro, MD. We were established in our tiny home studio in March 2021. We make jewelry and accessories for the bold, unique and weird individual. Our motto: the weirder, the better! We strive to help others embrace the beauty of their uniqueness. We want to create art through the lens of self-acceptance and love. Our goal is to open up art & crafts studios and fund mental health services for Black, Brown & Indigenous queer, and trans individuals. Your support and interest in our art mean the world to us.
